Juan Ramón Anria is an engineer with over 15 years of experience in the IT sector and more than 10 years specializing in computer security. He has served as CIO and CISO in both private companies and government agencies in Panama, where he has developed and implemented information security strategies, standards, norms, and policies. For the past 10 years, he has been a certified trainer for leading manufacturers of information security systems. Since 2019, he has led the National Cybersecurity Directorate of the National Authority for Government Innovation, spearheading the country’s efforts to deploy the National Cybersecurity Strategy. This strategy aims to strengthen data privacy, dissuade and punish cybercrime, protect ritical infrastructure, and promote a national culture of cybersecurity. Anria also leads the CSIRT-Panama, providing timely responses to cybersecurity incidents in the country.
