Dr. Milena Gómez Cedeño has more than 20 years of experience in educational, governmental, business and scientific management, at a national and international level. She is a Panamanian scientist awarded for her research on business performance, through human talent. Doctor in Business with a master's degree in Research in Business, Finance and Insurance awarded by the University of Barcelona, where she obtained the highest qualification Excellent Cum Laude and the extraordinary award from this prestigious University.
In addition, he has a master's degree in Supply Chain Management & Logistics and a postgraduate degree in Production and Operations Management and Management from the EAE Business School and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona-Spain). She is an Industrial Engineer by degree and has a postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management, both from the Universidad Santa María la Antigua. In 2014, he obtained the “Graduate Scholar Award” awarded at the XIV International Conference on Knowledge, Culture and Chance in Organizations, at the University of Oxford.
She was Deputy National Secretary and Director of Business Innovation of the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT), before being selected, by public call, as Educational Manager-Rector of the Specialized Higher Technical Institute (ITSE), a position she currently holds. She is the author of various books, scientific, business and academic articles. Recently, he published the book, “People: key link for the success of the supply chain” which offers students, teachers and professionals, based on scientific evidence, the concepts and tools to identify strategies for the management of human talent. for the success of companies, aimed at improving Panama's competitive advantage, allowing it to become a world-class Logistics Hub.
