Joel Font

Joel Font is an experienced and accomplished Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) leader with a proven track record of success in the financial, government and healthcare industries. He is currently leading the compliance team at the Wursta Corporation, where he is responsible for helping clients obtain and maintain compliance with US and international regulatory requirements. Prior to joining Wursta, Joel held a number of consulting and senior technology positions with organizations such as Fiserv, KPMG, New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, Loews Corporation, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Union Bank of Switzerland. In these roles Joel was responsible for leading the development and implementation of GRC functions, controls, frameworks and ensuring their effectiveness. Joel holds a degree in City Planning and Administration from Thomas Edison State University and has been certified as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) as well as various certifications from FEMAs Emergency Management Institute. Joel is highly experienced in compliance frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO, COSO and ITIL. Joel is bilingual Spanish/English and has worked on projects in locations such as Colombia and Bolivia, with experience in India as well. He is currently based in the New York City region.
