Roberto Saint-Malo

Roberto has focused on sourcing, executing, and managing PE and VC investments in multiple geographies, since 1995. In 2011 he founded BetaAngels, an investor group composed of accomplished company builders, currently active in Europe, Israel and the US. Earlier, In 2002 he founded Spain VC firm Adara Ventures, serving as Managing Partner until 2010. Active BetaAngels investments include Corephotonics (Tel Aviv), DogBuddy (London/Barcelona), Clover Food Lab (Boston), Lexington Medical (Boston). Earlier investments championed by Roberto include Eyesquad (Tel Aviv), Cambridge Broadband (UK), eDreams (Barcelona), Officenet (Brasil).
Roberto is a graduate of Dartmouth College (BA Computer Science with Summa Cum Laude honors) and Harvard University (MBA). He started his professional career with McKinsey & Co. in Madrid, from where he was recruited as CEO of Jumbo Comercial, a food retail operation. At Jumbo, Roberto was a key contributor the company’s successful repositioning and profitable divestiture to Auchan.
A citizen of Panama and Spain, Roberto is a proud father of 3, has been active with YPO since 1992 and does his best to maintain a single-digit golf handicap.
